Puppies are fully prepared before travel.
Weeks before hand our puppies get introduced to their travel crate. When picking up and delivering our dog hotel boarders our cargo puppies travel with us to spend time in their travel crate as the car simulates a plane. Deliveries require paperwork including permits and certificates. A night flight is always chosen for cargo puppies so it ties in with their natural body clock.
The puppy spends their last day having a fun packed afternoon to tire them out, so they can then have a good Sleep on the plane. To prepare the travel crate, the bed and puppy pad are stuck down.
The crate gets sprayed inside with Adaptil calming travel spray. The puppies are never given oral calming remedies.
